Watson strains ankle, out for 3 weeks 0

Zalgiris Kaunas will have to rely on other players to take the place of Travis Watson in the last Euroleague regular season game against Fenerbahce on the road in Istanbul. Watson, who got injured in yesterday’s Euroleague win versus Cibona, has been set to return only at the end of January.

The American power-forward hurt himself after landing on the floor awkwardly after a battle for a rebound and strained his ankle. After a more a check-up it was said, that Watson will be out for around three weeks. The injury occurred around the half point mark of the last period. The player was helped out of the court and was immediately brought to hospital.

Watson will have to wear a cast  for some time and another check-up at the doctor will be required after a week or so. The player is averaging 11,9 points and 10,7 rebounds for Zalgiris in this Euroleague season.
