Zalgiris still unbeaten in LKL after winning in Klaipeda 0
Zalgiris continued their successful march in the Lithuanian League (LKL) in Klaipeda by defeating the hosts Neptunas 98-83 (28-21, 20-24, 23-16, 27-22) to keep a clean record at 13-0. This was the first victory by the club from Kaunas with the new coach Ilias Zouros in charge.
DeJuan Collins carried the momentum from a good game in Euroleague during the week to collect 15 points and 6 rebounds. Martynas Pocius finished the game with 14 points and 7 boards, Paulius Jankunas scored 13 while Boban Marjanovic had his best game in a green-and-white jersey adding 12 points and 5 rebounds.
Neptunas’ Martynas Mazeika finished the night with a game-high of 18 points, Valdas Vasylius scored 16 while Luke Bonner and Robertas Bitinas had 14 and 13 points respectively.
