Zalgiris is only one win away from a regular season clean-sweep in the Lithuanian League (LKL) as the Kaunas side destroyed league debutants Naglis 103-66 (18-26, 37-7, 18-13, 28-20) to improve their record to 23-0.

The hosts were playing without Marcus Brown and Martynas Pocius, so Tadas Klimavicius stepped up as the leader of the team in this game with a double-double of 17 points and 11 boards. Paulius Jankunas added 16, Aleksandar Capin scored 13, while Mindaugas Kuzminskas and Arturas Milalnis shared 11 points each.

“We had two long practices yesterday and all of the players were very concentrated. The players just needed time to adapt to the usual things. It’s great that we found our rhythm,” said Zalgiris’ coach Ilias Zouros.

Naglis foreigner David Potter scored a team-high 14 points, Vidmantas Uzkuraits had 11, while Chris Lowe added 10 for the visitors.
