Aaron White talks about physical series against Fenerbahce 4

Zalgiris held its first practice in Istanbul on Monday evening before Tuesday’s start of the Quarterfinals series againt Fenerbahce.

Zalgiris TV got together with Aaron White, as he explained the preparations for the game and shared his insights.

“We’re all anxious and excited. It feels like it’s been a long break, even though it hasn’t been too long. We’re ready to go, it’s our last practice tonight and a shoot-around tomorrow. We’re ready for the game.”

Fenerbahce celebrated two victories against Zalgiris in the regular season, a 75-82 win in Kaunas and a 61-78 victory in Istanbul. However, Aaron isn’t too keen on looking back at the previous fights and noted that Zalgiris has shown much better basketball recently.

“We were watching some film and it looks like we were a totally different team. It’s a little bit different to watch it, when our rotation is different, players are playing better now. You still have to look at the schematics of it and how they played, how they use their aggressiveness towards us. That kind of changed the game in both games. We can learn from that aspect, but at the same time realize that both teams are in a different place right now. It’s going to be a hard-fought, physical series.”

The best-of-five Quarterfinal series tips off on Tuesday, 8:45 PM GMT+3.
