#TimeOutZalgiris visits the Media Day 0

Zalgiris players took up their usual pre-season duty and participated in the traditional media day, where they had to pose for photos and film in various video clips.

Zalgiris TV host Dalia Belickaite was happy to be back for the season’s first episode of #TimeOutZalgiris, as she found her way around the Zalgirio Arena backstage. Belickaite talked to the guys about the team’s best photographers, best models, and who’d they pick to style them.

“Nigel, probably. He’s always taking photos of his food for Instagram, uploading stories,” – team captain Paulius Jankunas delegated, as he received Rokas Jokubaitis’ approval.

There was no mutual agreement as to who’d be the best stylist, as Joffrey Lauvergne, Patricio Garino, Thomas Walkup and Paulius Jankunas all received votes.

The players later had a look at their teammates’ photos from previous media days, and most of them gave quite a good laugh. Thomas Walkup was deemed to be out-of-shape comparing to last season’s muscular photo, and while Rokas Jokubaitis gave him an easy 10-of-10, the team’s older players had a different opinion.

“That’s when Walkup was still in form. He had hit the gym. I’d give 8 for the effort. You can’t give it a 10. Not even a 9,” – said Marius Grigonis strictly.

“I can just say Thomas looks impressive with those muscles in photos, but when it comes to real life, it’s not true. I think he does something to make it look like that, but in real life we know him a bit different. He’s not as strong as he wants us to think,” – added Jankunas.

Arturas Milaknis’ defensive stance gave a good laugh to everyone, as they all started roasting the team’s sharpshooter. Rokas Jokubaitis was one of the few generous ones.

“He’s doing something he’s not really used to. He had to leave his comfort zone. I’ll give it a 9 for his efforts.”

“He’s doing poorly even for a photo. Well you can imagine, if he can’t even do it for a photo, how can it work in-game?” – chimed in the captain.

For a dose of great emotions and the backstage of Zalgiris’ media day, tune in to the latest episode of #TimeOutZalgiris.
