Paulius Jankunas was born in Kaunas. He practised in Sabonis basketball school, started the professional career in Zalgiris Kaunas second team and joined the main team back in 2003. With one year break Paulius plays in Zalgiris for 17 seasons. In 2010 he was elected the team captain. Since 2005 Paulius represents the Lithuanian national team, with which has already managed to win EuroBasket bronze medal (in 2007) and silver (in 2015). He is World championship bronze medalist (in 2010) as well.
