Zalgiris’ first friendly will see the long-awaited return of Keenan Evans 0

Zalgiris Kaunas will play the first pre-season game against 7bet-Lietkabelis Panevezys on Friday. American Keenan Evans is expected to take the floor in the green and white jersey after an 8-month break.

Zalgiris will be coached by Tautvydas Sabonis and Gintaras Krapikas in place of Kazys Maksvytis in the game, which will be streamed live to Zalgiris Insider subscribers. The specialists will now be able to use Evans, who has recovered from an Achilles tendon injury sustained in a EuroLeague game in January.

Newcomers Naz Mitrou-Long, Brady Manek and Danielius Lavrinovicius will wear Zalgiris jerseys for the first time. The team will be supported by last season’s players: captain Edgaras Ulanovas, Lukas Lekavicius, Arnas Butkevicius, Laurynas Birutis, Dovydas Giedraitis and Kevarrius Hayes.

The team will also include Zalgiris’ juniors Dovydas Butka, Ned Montvila and Mantas Laurencikas.
