Zalgiris takes care of business at home against Juventus 3

After a one-sided affair in Zalgirio Arena, the Zalgiris secured its fourth victory in the Betsafe-LKL championship. The green-and-whites took care of business at home with a 84-63 victory over Juventus Utena.

Augustine Rubit was not registered for the game, as Marek Blazevic took his place and recorded his first minutes with a Zalgiris jersey in an official game.

While the Kaunas side came in storming with a 9-0 run to start the game, only one shot separated the two sides after the first period. As Blazevic recorded his first points, Zalgiris got things going, building up a 9-point lead before halftime.

The Lithuanian champions didn’t go easy on the gas pedal after the break, as they ran up the score, improving their lead to 16 after three. The fourth quarter was more or less a formality, with Zalgiris cruising ahead with a solid lead, en route to an 84-63 win over Juventus.

Marek Blazevic was one of the team’s leading scorers with 13 points and 5 boards, as both Martinas Geben and Thomas Walkup also dropped 13. Marius Grigonis finished up in double digits with 11 points.

On the other side, Bryant Crawford and Mindaugas Kupsas were the go-to scorers, dropping 18 and 14, respectively.
