Two Zalgiris’ youngsters struck with injury in practice 0

Zalgiris’ main and youth teams will have to do without two promising youngsters, as Mantas Rubstavicius and Dominykas Stenionis suffered leg injuries during practice.

Rubstavicius’ injury cam from a defensive situation, when he collided with his teammate. A strain of knee ligament is suspected, but only further testing will give conclusive results.

Just a couple minutes later, injury struck Stenionis, too, as he was returning to defense and twisted his ankle. The 19-year-old was diagnosed with a fracture in his metatarsal bone. Dominykas is set for surgery, which will dictate how much of action he will miss.
