Zalgiris Kaunas took home second victory in the preparation cycle. Andrea Trinchieri’s team defeated Sabah Baku coached by Rimas Kurtinaitis by 94-62 (31-13, 20-14, 28-22, 15-13).

Laurynas Birutis started the game with a layup, Ignas Brazdeikis and Dovydas Giedraitis hit free throws, and after Brady Manek’s offensive rebound converted into basket, the opponents called for a timeout, 8-0. Matt Mitchell connected on a mid-range jumper, Brazdeikis and Bryant Dunston added layups, Manek hit a three-pointer, Edgaras Ulanovas scored six points, Sylvain Francisco and Arnas Butkevicius made free throws, and Alen Smailagic scored six in a row to make it 31-13.

Butkevicius hit a three-pointer from the corner, Brazdeikis and Giedraitis made successful trips to the free throw line, and Dunston finished the attack with a dunk, 40-17. Manek scored two three-pointers in a row and Mitchell added five points, 51-27.

Butkevicius scored four easy points from under the basket, Manek made his free throws and another three-pointer, and Francisco scored a mid-range jumper, 62-36. Butkevicius made no mistakes at the free throw line, Brazdeikis made a 2+1, Deividas Sirvydis put in a layup, and Giedraitis, Sirvydis and Smailagic also hit a three-pointer each, 79-49.

Manek started the last quarter with a three-pointer, Sirvydis added a three-pointer with a foul, Brazdeikis scored two points with a foul, Giedraitis made a two-pointer plus two free throws, which sealed the victory, 94-62.

Manek was the highest scorer for Zalgiris with 19 points on 5 from 8 three-pointers. Butkevicius scored 12, while Brazdeikis, Giedraitis and Smailagic had 11 points each.
