Sylvain Francisco, who is having a breakthrough season for Zalgiris Kaunas, will wear the green and white jersey next season as well.

The 27-year-old guard’s contract has been renewed until the end of the 2026-2027 season. However, the contract includes an option for the player to leave in the summer of 2026 for a buyout.

Francisco is Zalgiris’ leading scorer in the EuroLeague. He averages 14.4 points, 4.3 assists and 15.3 EFF per 24 minutes.

“We are happy to extend our cooperation with Sylvain. Last summer we had signed a 1+1 contract, which would have allowed him to leave after the season for a buyout. Seeing the market situation, we decided to renew the contract and remove this clause. We are satisfied with Sylvain’s performance both on and off the court and we believe that he can help us to achieve the highest goals both in Lithuania and in the EuroLeague,” said Gediminas Navickas, Zalgiris’ GM. – It’s worth mentioning that Francisco, after playing a really solid season in the EuroLeague, had a lot of interest in the market, so we are happy that he trusted our process and work. He feels comfortable in Zalgiris and can grow as a basketball player here.”

In the Betsafe-LKL Championship, Francisco is averaging 12.5 points, 5.3 assists and 17.3 EFF per game.
