After strengthening the squad with three new signings during the summer transfer window, FK Kauno Žalgiris has now parted ways with Davis Ikaunieks.
The contract with the 32-year-old Latvian striker has been terminated by mutual agreement.
"Thank you all. It was great to be here and get to know people from different cultures. I got along well with everyone, so I wish you all the best and I'll be supporting you in Europe," the player said as he bid farewell to the team.
Ikaunieks joined Kauno Žalgiris in January. Wearing the club's green-and-white shirt, he scored four goals in the TOPLYGA and added two more in the Lithuanian Football Federation (LFF) Cup.
The Latvian's most memorable moment with the Kaunas club came in the LFF Super Cup final, where he scored the decisive goal that secured the club's first trophy of the season.
