#TimeOutZalgiris captures the EuroLeague spectacle at Zalgirio Arena 2

A filled-to-the-brim Zalgirio Arena witnessed another incredible and drama-filled basketball spectacle, as Zalgiris took on defending EuroLeague champions, Real Madrid.

Zalgiris TV’s very own Dalia Belickaite traditionally took it upon herself to have a chat with the guests in the sold-out arena.

This time on #TimeOutZalgiris, Belickaite had the chance to talk to one of Lithuania’s most popular singers, Saulius Prusaitis, who had just performed for a crowd of 15 thousand fans during the halftime break. “It was really really fun, a packed arena. The feeling is incredible!”

Pijus Labutis, a rising star in the Lithuanian and international pool scene was also excited, stating that he enjoys the emotion and energy of Zalgiris and the arena.

Besides the Real Madrid bench, Belickaite met up with European basketball legend Joe Arlauckas.

“I love walking around the city. I was telling on TV before, it’s an incredible city. Everywhere you go, there’s games on, basketball. I don’t see any soccer, any football, any of that bad sports. It’s all about basketball, and that’s the greatest thing about this city.”

Arlauckas admitted to following the green-and-white throughout the season, as Zalgiris, for him, is the embodiment of a real basketball team.

Always. Because the heart this team shows, it just exemplifies what the EuroLeague is all about. You see what they’re doing tonight they come out and give it their all every game. It’s so much fun to watch, and I think it’s an extension of Saras and the way he coaches and transfers it to his players.”
