Wolters: “Podgorica is definitely a tough place to win” 0

Having notched two wins in the first five Euroleague games, Zalgiris looks to travel to Podgorica for Friday’s match-up. Taking on the local Buducnost side, it will be the third EuroLeague away game for the green-white team this season. Zalgiris point guard Nate Wolters got together with Zalgiris TV and shared his insights on the upcoming game.

“I think we’ve gotten better the more we’ve played together. We just need to work on finishing games. We’ve had the lead in basically all our EuroLeague match-ups and we’ve only been able to win two of them. The big thing is to just lock in and finish games off.”

According to the American guard, the Montenegrin side is still a very dangerous opponent, despite starting the season with 5 consecutive EuroLeague losses.

“They have good players and it’s a tough place to play. There’s not an easy game in EuroLeague, so we’ll have to play really well if we want to win.”

Wolters has already had a few run-ins with Buducnost, as he played against the Podgorica side several times during the 2016-2017 season, when he was still a member of Crvena Zvezda Belgrade.

“I just remember it was a really good atmosphere. We played them in the playoffs of the Adriatic league and it was a really hostile environment. I’m expecting the same this time around. It’s definitely a tough place to win.”
