#FollowMeZalgiris. Rokas Jokubaitis shares his take on social media 0

Zalgiris TV brings forward the newest episode of #FollowMeZalgiris, where the youngest player on the squad, Rokas Jokubaitis, opens up his social media world to the rest of us.

“I think it’s unavoidable basically every day – Instagram, Facebook. I just mostly scroll down my Facebook timeline, but Instagram is where I do all my posting and you know, a little bit of stalking here and there.”

The guard says he isn’t too active on his social media outlets, and usually uploads just the photos that might be interesting for others as well as himself.

“I don’t post every day, but usually when I find a nice shot from a game, something memorable, I always share that. I look back at the photos myself sometimes – it’s nice to scroll down and have a look at your own photo album, bring back the memories. I think those photos are keen on the eye for others, too.”

Jokubaitis let it be known that he doesn’t hold back when it comes to following or unfollowing other accounts.

“I guess it’s mostly stuff from the basketball world. I don’t follow them all, obviously. Sometimes you just got to hit unfollow for some pages, like the NBA one, since they just post too much and take too much of my feed. Speaking of basketball players, I follow Kyrie Irving and De’Aaron Fox. Although he didn’t follow back, so I unfollowed him myself…”

After becoming a member of the Zalgiris main team, he’s received much more popularity on the social media pages and that often results in a flurry of message requests.

“I always look at the message requests, it’s fun to answer them, see if people tagged you in some stories or something. I try to respond, but sometimes the questions can be a bit fuzzy… One girl wrote me something and there was nothing I could really respond, so I just kept it like that.”

Rokas also shared some stories about some of the photos on his Instagram account, gave his take on Marius Grigonis’ puppy photos and named the teammates with the best content on their social media pages. All this in the latest episode of #FollowMeZalgiris.
