Zalgiris Talent Camp set to bring in top Lithuanian prospects 0

Zalgiris has been paying extra attention to the development of youth prospects, and is set to invite the top talents for a training camp in Kaunas, starting May 31st.

The Lithuanian champions hand-picked the top 14-16 year-old prospects from all over Lithuania for the three-day Zalgiris Talent Camp.

Amongst the coaches working with the camp attendees will be Zalgiris youth coaches Mantas Sernius and Darius Sirtautas, and Sarunas Jasikevicius’ assistant Tomas Masiulis.

The prospects will not only receive the full attention of the top basketball specialists in Lithuania, but will take on the training conditions of Zalgiris first-hand, having the chance to meet the players and coaches of Zalgiris.

Zalgiris sports director Robertas Javtokas didn’t hide his joy that Kaunas will once again draw the top prospects of the age group.

“Just like every year, Zalgiris has an eye on the future and looks to develop the youth talents, who would possibly join the main team in the foreseeable future. It is vital for them to receive all the necessary information, to see how hard the professionals work each and every day. That’s what our coaches and players of the main team will show them.”

One of the largest non-banking financial companies Orion and BalPol are the sponsors of this year’s Zalgiris Talent Camp.
