Zalgiris Kaunas fans continue to show their support for the Lithuanian champions, as all tickets for Thursday’s match against EA7 Emporio Armani Milan have been sold out.
The EuroLeague Round 5 game at the Zalgirio Arena will be the second of two matches in a week. Both Zalgiris and Milan suffered away losses on Tuesday and will be giving their all on Thursday to get back on the winning track.
During the half-time break, the memory of legendary Lithuanian basketball player and coach Stepas Butautas will be honored. This year, Butautas would have celebrated his 100th birthday.
This week, Zalgiris will play another home game. On Sunday, October 19, Zalgiris will face a challenge from Lietkabelis Panevezys in the local championship.
An important week awaits the Kaunas team at the end of October, when both EuroLeague double-round week games will take place at the Zalgirio Arena. On October 28, Kaunas will host the Virtus Bologna team, and on October 30, the ASVEL Villeurbanne basketball players.
