Zalgiris player Brady Manek will spend the rest of the season in Turkey. The forward is loaned to Mersin MSK until the end of the season.
The 26-year-old 206 cm tall American spent more than a season and a half in Zalgiris.
“Brady’s playing time reduced lately, so we came to a joint decision that he could finish the season with another team. The regular season is still ongoing in Turkey and Mersin is in the playoffs picture, so Manek will have a chance to regain his confidence and help his new team,” said Zalgiris Kaunas GM Gediminas Navickas.
Mersin is seventh among 16 teams in the Turkish top league. It has 12 wins in 25 games.
In the Betsafe-LKL championship, Manek played 20 games this season, scoring 6.7 points and grabbing 2.4 rebounds on average.
In the EuroLeague this season, Manek averaged 3.3 points and 1.2 rebounds.
