Zalgiris Kaunas will begin their third EuroLeague double-round week this Tuesday, this time facing Virtus Bologna team at Zalgirio Arena.

Maodo Lo, who played well last week, shared his thoughts ahead of the upcoming match.

“A triple week is never easy. Tomorrow will be a difficult game against a talented team,” said the German.

Lo made five three-pointers against FC Barcelona, and the Zalgiris player was reminded of his record-breaking NCAA game, in which he hit 11 three-pointers.

“I made a lot of three-pointers that time, and if I remember correctly, I shot at a high percentage. It wasn’t like I took 20 or 25 shots because that’s not my style of play. I had a good day that time, but long-range shots have always been my strength, so when they’re falling, I try to stay aggressive,” recalled Lo.

Although the Virtus team was somewhat underestimated before the season, Lo did not attach much importance to the predictions.

“I think it’s always difficult for experts to predict future events at the beginning of the season, especially when evaluating only the composition of the teams. Basketball is much more complicated than that. The Virtus players are having a great start to the season, they have a lot of weapons and different parts that make up a great team – a tough battle awaits,” the German commented on his opponents’ start.
