Zalgiris players are intensively preparing for Friday’s match against Bayern Munich, which has won three out of three games at home so far, both in the EuroLeague and in domestic competitions.
After one of the training sessions, Maodo Lo, who is well acquainted with Frida’'s opponents, shared his insights.
“We’ve only played two games in the EuroLeague, and they play very well at home. You saw for yourselves how many wins they had in their arena last season. If I’m not mistaken, they lost only a few times. This year, they have also won in front of their fans, and the atmosphere there is good, so it will be very difficult,” said Lo, assessing the home team's advantage.
When asked about the departure of Carsen Edwards and other defenders from Bayern, Lo emphasized that the opponents’ perimeter line should not be underestimated.
“Yes, the start of the season requires a lot of energy, but we are happy that we managed to start the season with a victory. We had a day off on Monday, so we recovered and now it's time to get back to work,” said the ambitious German.
In an interview, Lo also commented on Bayern’s playing style, as he himself has represented the German national team led by Gordon Herbert.
