Zalgiris has two EuroLeague games coming up this week, the first of which is against Anadolu Efes Istanbul, who are coming to Kaunas. Ahead of the upcoming match, Nigel Williams-Goss shared his thoughts on the upcoming games.

“Our chemistry will be important – since my return, we’ve spent a lot of time on the court, getting used to each other. Of course, it’s also important to make shots, so I think we’ll need a combination of both,” said the guard, highlighting the most important points ahead of the double-header.

A few days ago, the Turkish club announced that Pablo Laso would take over as head coach, replacing Igor Kokoskov, who had left the position earlier. Williams-Goss spent one season with Real Madrid under Pablo Laso and highlighted the coach’s authority.

“It was a great experience, it was my first season in Madrid, and Laso was a coach who had won the EuroLeague and ACB more than once. He is a highly accomplished coach, so it’s great to see him return to coaching. I wish him the best of luck, except tomorrow,” joked the Zalgiris player.

Meanwhile, on Friday, Zalgiris will take on Partizan Belgrade, the first stop in Williams-Goss’s career, on Nemunas Island.

“Games against Partizan are always special. I am very happy that I started my career there, at such a historic club. It’s always fun to play against them. Of course, they are currently undergoing major changes, but in any case, I am looking forward to the game and hope that we will be able to win both games,” replied the Zalgiris player.
