Zalgiris Kaunas, the legendary Lithuanian basketball club, is taking another step closer to its international fanbase by introducing an English version of its entertainment and information filled app.

“Our fans are the heart of Zalgiris, and their support goes far beyond Lithuania. At every EuroLeague home game, at least 10% of our audience comes from Latvia, Estonia, and Poland. At the same time, more and more people are moving to Lithuania from different countries, and many of them are becoming Zalgiris fans. With our growing international community, we knew it was time to make the Zalgiris experience easier for everyone. By launching the English version of our app, we are welcoming all our fans and making sure they feel like part of the team,” said Ignas Vysniauskas, Head of Marketing at Zalgiris Kaunas.

Introduced in 2023, the Zalgiris Kaunas app offers a unique experience for green-and-white basketball fans. Users can track live scores of Zalgiris Kaunas games, check real-time and post-game statistics, and follow team news—all with instant push notifications.

However, that’s just one reason why every Zalgiris Kaunas fan should have the app.

By creating a free account, basketball fans can participate in game-day discussions with other supporters, comment on articles, and, most importantly, take part in the Game Day Drill. On game days, fans can submit their predictions, check in at the game, share their opinions in polls, or vote for the fans’ MVP. Completing these tasks earns users experience points, which help level up their profile. Each time a level is reached, fans receive coins that can be exchanged for valuable prizes, such as merchandise or tickets, in the app's coins shop.

But there's even more. By completing Game Day Drill tasks, fans also collect special game cards. Those who enter their ticket number in the app receive an exclusive Arena type virtual collectible card, while others get an Online type collectible card.

Additionally, fans can earn experience points by playing Zalgiris Challenge mini-games. Currently, these games are available only in Lithuanian.

For those seeking exclusive insider content, the app offers the Zalgiris Insider membership. By choosing from three different subscription plans, fans can enjoy perks such as podcasts with Zalgiris coaches, the opportunity to ask questions to Zalgiris players, invitations to closed events with the team, and even access to ticket or merchandise pre-sales. English speaking Insiders also have their own chat channel.

Now, every fan can download the English-language version of the Zalgiris app on Google Play or the Apple App Store.
