Zalgiris Kaunas guard Sylvain Francisco, who was named EuroLeague MVP for October, averaged 14.9 points and 6.8 assists per game. Naturally, with such numbers, the Frenchman created many effective moments and brought the entire Zalgirio Arena to its feet on more than one occasion, so we invite you to join the MVP of the month in remembering the most impressive moments in October.

After the first few rounds, the Zalgiris player led the entire league in blocked shots, so the first play is about just that – a block on Mike James in the first EuroLeague game.

“It’s really amazing to block a player like that. I know Mike – the more you try to cover him, the more he likes it. In that situation, I knew I would be able to jump, I just had to see that he was really going to shoot the ball. As soon as I saw him release the ball, I knew I was going to block his shot. He really didn’t like it, I remember the look on his face after that play, but I know I have a great feel for when to block shots,” recalled Francisco.

The EuroLeague MVP for October then reviewed a couple of his 2+1 episodes and several impressive passes, followed by powerful dunks by Moses Wright, Laurynas Birutis, Azuolas Tubelis, and Arnas Butkevicius.

“I rebounded the ball on defense and made a pass to Arnas across the court. Credit to Arnas for making that dunk against Crvena Zvezda, we needed it. I feel that our team is running much more fast breaks this season compared to last season,” said the Frenchman.

We invite you to watch the entire video and remember all of Francisco’s best moments from October, of which there were certainly plenty.
