Zalgiris Kaunas (23-2) had no problem in the Betsafe-LKL Championship. Andrea Trinchieri’s team defeated M Basket-Delamode Mazeikiai (3-22) by 105-80 (31-24, 24-15, 20-23, 30-18) on the road in Telsiai.
Deividas Sirvydis made the first points of the game with a long-range shot, and Edgaras Ulanovas picked up the baton and scored 8 points in a row, 11-6. Matt Mitchell finished a 2+1, Ulanovas scored his 10th point and Laurynas Birutis added 4 points to make it 20-10. The home team responded with an 11-0 run, which was broken by 6 points from Dovydas Buika, 26-24. At the end of the first quarter, Ignas Brazdeikis connected on a three-pointer and Isaiah Wong converted free throws, 31-24.

Juzenas made another run the basket, Bryant Dunston scored 4 points, and Birutis followed for 63-49 lead. Sirvydis and Buika scored a three-pointer each, while Mitchell made it 71-52. Giedraitis sank free throws and Wong hit a mid-range jumper to finish the third quarter, 75-62.
Sirvydis was accurate from long range, while Ulanovas, Birutis and Brazdeikis scored from under the basket, 84-69. Sirvydis made 5 free throws in a row, Wong hit 2 three-pointers, Mitchell broke through the defense and Juzenas scored Zalgiris’ 100th point, 100-73. Mitchell made a free throw, Wong and Manek scored to close the game, 105-80.
Sirvydis led the scorers with 17 points, Ulanovas added 15 points, while Mitchell and Buika tallied 12 points each.
