The Zalgiris Kaunas basketball players underwent medical examinations yesterday at Gijos Klinikos.
“I usually rest for a few days after the season and then slowly get back into the rhythm. I have two brothers with whom I spend a lot of time in the gym and on the basketball court. This summer was short - only 6-7 weeks - so I recovered from last season, exercised, and spent time with my family,” said team newcomer Dustin Sleva.
When asked if he prepared differently before moving up to the next level in his career, Sleva replied that he maintains consistency.
“I follow the same program every year. I started playing in the second French league, and of course, I always want to add new skills, but I maintain consistency and try to improve my weaknesses so that I am ready for the upcoming season,” Sleva said about his routine.
After medical tests, Moses Wright talked about his summer adventures.
“I went to Mexico to clear my head before the next season, so I got to ride horses for the first time there - a very fun experience and another item on my bucket list,” said the American.
Wright also revealed the improvement of his secret weapon.
“Long-range shots have always been in my arsenal - I just need a system where I can reveal it. I think that at Zalgiris, players are given more freedom to demonstrate what they worked on during the summer,” said Wright, speaking about the club’s culture and his own preparation.
