The second Zalgiris x Akieron collection went on sale at the Zalgiris Shop this Wednesday.
Following a successful collaboration last season, talks about a second collection with Akieron began in the spring, and the creative process started at the end of the summer.
The second Zalgiris x Akieron collection retains the previous theme, combining street style with basketball attributes. However, this time the collection features more casual wear, including various outfits, with a total of 11 products.
The importance of elements has also been retained on the clothing, with the founding date of the Zalgiris club and the hand-drawn Zalgiris inscription visible. The aggressive font, which was adapted specifically for Zalgiris this year, has remained unchanged since last year. Additional symbols can also be found on the sleeves and back.
The designers of Zalgiris x Akieron emphasized the message conveyed by the collection.
“The very first collection already showed people that this is not just basketball merchandise. We combine two inseparable things – street style and basketball. When we see people wearing our merchandise outside the basketball arena, we understand that the message has been fulfilled and that this merchandise is not only worn during games,” said Matas Noreika, founder of the Akieron brand.
The new Zalgiris x Akieron collection, consisting of vintage black and green sweaters, T-shirts, and other items, was available for purchase during a pre-sale period for Zalgiris Insider annual and Club membership holders, and is now available for purchase at all physical and online Zalgiris Shop locations.
