Zalgiris didn’t have trouble against Pasvalys 0

Zalgiris Kaunas (19-2) secured another victory in the Betsafe-LKL Championship. Defending champions beat Pieno zvaigzdes Pasvalys (4-17) by 97-77 (25-14, 28-20, 23-23, 21-20) at Zalgirio Arena.

Edmond Sumner started the game with three points, Brady Manek hit two three-pointers and Laurynas Birutis and Kevarrius Hayes made free throws to make it 13-9. Danielius Lavrinovicius made a long-range shot, Hayes and Dimsa hit a free throw each, and Lukas Lekavicius scored seven points, 25-14.

Hayes and Birutis added four points each, Dimsa and Lavrinovicius made lay-ups, and Dovydas Butka scored from long range, 40-25. Manek hit another three-pointer, Matas Vokietaitis made two free throws and scored his first points for the main team, while Sumner scored four points, Lekavicius made a free throw and Nedas Montvila connected from long range as well, 53-34.

Dovydas Giedraitis finished under the basket, Dimsa scored five in a row and Hayes had four points, 64-52. Sumner had a stretch of eight points, while Manek and Giedrait scored two points each, 76-57.

Butka, Montvila and Lekavicius made mid-range shots, while Hayes and Birutis dunked it home, 86-59. Sumner scored six more points, Dimsa added two more, and Vokietaitis clinched the victory with a 2+1 possession, 97-77.

Sumner was the leading scorer with 21 points. Hayes added 13, Manek scored 11 and Lekavicius finished with 10 for Zalgiris.
