Zalgiris’ training camp under way 0
Zalgiris Kaunas have began their preparations for the new season with a summer training camp. Nine players gathered in the first work-out in total, but only three of them were in the club’s main rotation last season – Mirza Begic, Povilas Butkevicius and Sarunas Vasiliauskas. Together with them Zygimantas Janavicius, Vaidas Cepukaitis, Vytenis Lipkevicius, Osvaldas Matulionis, Gediminas Zyle and Mindaugas Kupsas participated in the team’s first practice.
Bigman Mirza Begic will work individually with the club’s physio, while the rest of the team will practice under the watch of Zalgiris basketball school’s coach Priit Vene.
Martynas Pocius, Adas Juskevicius, Mantas Kalnietis and Tadas Klimavicius will have some more time to rest as the training camps of the first and second Lithuanian National Teams are yet to begin.
The foreigners of the club will also join the Kaunas’ side later – Marcus Brown, Aleksandar Capin and Travis Watson were given some extra rest while Mario Delas is training with the Croatian U20 team and Siim-Sander Vene is currently with the Estonian Men’s National Team.
