Zalgiris Kaunas signed guard Tomas Delininkaitis to a multi-year deal on Wednesday. Delininkaitis (190, 28) signed for two seasons with an option for the 2012-13 campaign. The contract is pending the completion of a physical exam.

A decorated shooting guard, Delininkaitis is a former ULEB Cup champion and won a bronze medal with the Lithuanian national team at the FIBA World Championships earlier this month in Turkey. He finished last season with Greek side PAOK, where he averaged 12.3 points per game.

Delininkaitis grew up with Neptunas Klaipeda before joining Lietuvos Rytas in 2003 and remaining there for four season, during which he won the ULEB Cup once, the Lithuanian League once and the Baltic League twice. In recent seasons, he has played in Ukraine for Budivelnik and Azovmash Mariupol, with whom he won the league and cup double, Murcia in Spain and PAOK in Greece.

At the World Championships, Delininkaitis played a key role for Lithuania off the bench, averaging 7.5 points in 17 minutes. His best game came in the quarterfinals against Argentina, when he exploded for 16 points in 12 minutes.

With his signing, Zalgiris now has five players from the Lithuanian national team that won the bronze in Turkey: Delininkaitis, Mantas Kalnietis, Paulius Jankunas, Tadas Klimavicus and Martynas Pocius.
