Zalgiris brings back former players Milaknis, Vene 0

Zalgiris Kaunas signed two players to be part of the core of the promising future. Both Arturas Milaknis and Siim-Sander Vene have played for Zalgiris in the past and were teammates last season at BC Prienai. They each signed two-year contracts with a team option for the 2015-16 season.

Milaknis (1.95 meters, 27 years old) averaged 9 points in six Eurocup games and 14 points in 19 Baltic League games last season. He is a product of the Zalgiris youth team and spent his whole career with Zalgiris until last season. He has taken part in 33 career Euroleague games. Milaknis has taken part in three Lithuanian League titles, three Lithuanian Cups and three Baltic League championships.

Vene (2.03 meters, 22 years old) is also a product of the Zalgiris youth and last played for the team in 2009-10. Last season he tallied 10.7 points and 5.2 rebounds in six Eurocup games and 9.9 points and 5.3 rebounds in 21 Baltic League appearances. Vene has also played for EnBW Ludwigsburg in Germany, KK Baltai Kaunas in Lithuania and VEF Riga in Latvia. During his career he has collected one Latvian League crown and the 2010 Baltic League. Vene also plays for the Estonian national team.
