Defending champs continue their streak 0

Zalgiris got an easy victory at Zalgirio arena on Monday. The greens were able to win their sixth LKL game in a row defeating Dzukija Alytus 79:64 (17:15, 23:12, 21:14, 18:23).

The champions came out of the gate with three long range shots without any answer. However, later in the period Dzukija also demonstrated perfect shooting. Kaunas team finished the first quarter with a two point lead – 17:15.

The second period was a key factor in the game. Zalgiris players were able to click in both ends of the floor and gained a double-digit lead before halftime – 40:27.

Kaunas team continued to dominate after the break. More and more different Zalgiris players scored and the lead kept on growing. The score was 61:41 after the third.

Zalgiris were leading by 30 at one point of the last quarter. After that, the greens decreased their intensity and Dzukija players got a chance to cut the deficit. However, the winner of the game was already clear. Zalgiris won 79:64.

Kevin Pangos scored 12 points and got 5 assists for Zalgiris. Lukas Lekavicius and Isaiah Hartenstein both finished with 9 points.

Gediminas Navickas led Dzukija with 12 points. Julius Kazakauskas added 9.
