Zalgiris in the look for talented performers with a spotlight in a EuroLeague game up for grabs 0

Zalgiris Kaunas basketball club has decided to dive into global waters in search of talents capable of exciting a 15-thousand-strong army of green-and-white fans with their incredible performances and extraordinary talents during the halftime breaks at Zalgirio Arena.

The idea behind the launch of this competition isn’t just to diversify the halftime performances, but to shine the spotlight on the enthusiastic and talented people worldwide. The competition, running up until the 5th of November, encourages individuals or groups of people to send in their applications and the best will have the chance to perform in a packed Zalgirio Arena.

Zalgirio Arena was the most-visited ground in the Europe’s strongest basketball tournament with an average attendance of 13,567. This season, there have already been nearly 30,000 fans in attendance in just the first two EuroLeague home games.

Last year fans witnessed performances from street gymnastics professionals Project Mayhem, world hip-hop championship award-winners Me Gusta V-Team and Latvian acrobats Street Warriors among others.

Zalgiris is searching for interesting, unique talents, ready to put up a 5-7 minute performance without putting the hardwood or the fans in any sort of danger.

It must be noted and emphasized that the conditions of the basketball game are not suitable for singing performances, therefore singers are not going to be considered, nor are basketball cheerleading performances.

The selected candidates will have a chance to showcase their skills during a Betsafe–LKL game, and the best of the best will be chosen for a performance in front of thousands and thousands of basketball fans during the halftime break in a EuroLeague game.

Applicants should not only describe their talent in the application, but also add a photo and at least an amateur video of the performance. Application are accepted until November 5th by email, press@zalgiris.lt.
