Geben shines as weekly MVP in Zalgiris’ record win 1

Zalgiris broke several records in their Sunday win over Sintek-Dzukija, which had them coasting 102-50 in Zalgirio Arena.

The 52-point margin was the season’s largest victory, and a lot of it had to do with the 21 three-pointers made, which was the season’s league record and places 2nd in the entire league history.

It comes to no surprise that the league’s weekly MVP is a green-and-white, as Martinas Geben collected his season highs in scoring and efficiency.

Geben was rolling with my thunder, scoring 18 points, 5 rebounds, 4 blocks and a total efficiency rating of 30. The big man also added to the three-point hail with his season’s first three-pointer.

He wasn’t the only Zalgiris man in the weekly five, as the team’s newcomer K.C. Rivers proved to have an immediate impact on the team. After landing in Lithuania on Friday, he only had one practice before dropping 5 three-pointers in the first half for a total of 15 points, adding 4 rebounds and corralling a total of 23 ranking points.
