Zalgiris extends win streak to 11 1

The green-and-whites secured another victory to solidify their position at the top of the standings, as they swept aside Pieno Zvaigzdes 93-63 and extended their winning run to 11 games.

Zalgiris had the upper hand from the early stages of the game, as they ran off to a 12-5 start, en route to an 8-point lead after the first quarter.

After a solid second quarter, the visitors from Kaunas put the game to bed after the break, as they doubled a 15-point advantage and entered the final period up by 30, 73-43.

With all but the final result settled, the green-and-whites coasted to the finish line, securing another momentous victory

Zalgris was lead by Marius Grigonis’ 20 points, as Lukas Lekavicius chipped in with 14. Thomas Walkup had 10 points and 5 assists alongside 3 steals, while Nigel Hayes checked out with 9 points to his name. Rokas Jokubaitis ended the night with 8 points and 5 dimes, while the trio of Arturas Milaknis, Karolis Lukosiunas and Augustine Rubit ended up with 6 apiece.
