Basketball is back: Zalgiris announces beginning of season ticket sales 8

A piece of good news for basketball fans, as Zalgiris begins its’ season ticket sales for the 2021-2022 season.

Season ticket holders will save between 40-70% comparing to individual ticket prices and will also have the chance to purchase the yearly Zalgiris Insider subscription MVP plan for 50% off.

As the coronavirus pandemic and the uncertainty around it halted the Lithuanian champions from offering season tickets last season, but this year with the Opportunity Passport and renewed requirements for events in closed spaces, Zalgirio Arena will be able to take in everyone with an Opportunity Pass. The easiest way to do that would be getting vaccinated, and the club encourages green-and-whites to prepare for the season now, avoiding testing before each game

The ticket sales will start on Thursday, and season tickets are being offered from 129 Euros only in the first floor of Zalgirio Arena. Each sector has half of its’ tickets available to purchase, meaning around 3000 season tickets are available. It is currently not planned to launch a larger amount of tickets on sale to ensure room for any possible pandemic limitations.

Zalgiris Honor Club members and 2019-2020 season ticket holders will be the first ones who will be able to purchase a season ticket for the upcoming season, with public sale starting a month later, on the 15th of September.

As there were more than 6000 season ticket holders in the 2019-2020 season, their seats are not reserved for the upcoming season, with sale to all sectors being freely available. Hopefully, this order will be valid only for this season, and seats of previous (2019-2020) season ticket holders will be saved until it will be possible to invite fans without restrictions.

If games are cancelled or additional limitations on fan attendance are implemented, Zalgiris season ticket holders will be given a respective compensation.

Season ticket sales will only be carried out online, with the ticket desks at Zalgirio Arena not open. This season, physical season ticket cards will not be handed out, with a digital season ticket (that can also be printed) available on mobile devices.

Another novel feature is the package deal of season ticket + Zalgiris Insider platform MVP plan subscription. With this package, the subscription comes in at half price, costing 50 Euros instead of 96.

Season tickets will be valid for Zalgiris’ games in Zalgirio Arena in the EuroLeague regular season and the LKL regular season. Season ticket holders will also be able to see LKL Play-off games and Zalgiris’ youth team’s home games in the NKL.
