Zalgiris announces new Assistant General Manager Francois Lamy 0

As the new season approaches for Zalgiris, the green-and-whites look to strengthen not only their roster, but also the staff ranks. The Zalgiris organization will receive a boost with the arrival of Francois Lamy, who will take on the role of Assistant General Manager for Sports.

Lamy has worked for Tony Parker’s ASVEL Villeurbane and is looking forward to use this knowledge to push Zalgiris forward. The Frenchman gave his introduction to the fans, as he joined the #ZalgirisOnAir+ podcast and shared his thoughts about joining Zalgiris.

“When you receive a call from Tony Parker, you have to go. When you receive a call from Paulius Motiejunas, once again – you have to go. I keep telling people in France that I’m going not to work, but to live this experience. Once I walked into Zalgirio Arena, I had shivers going down my spine.”

Lamy shared his experiences, career challenges in different fields of basketball, from organizing basketball events in his teenage years to agent work and helping small-budget teams rise up the ranks in French basketball.
