Mantas Rubstavicius registered for LKL and EuroLeague battles 0

Coming back from an injury that has kept him out since the start of September, Mantas Rubstavicius is making strides to get back into the line-up. After beginning season preparations with Zalgiris, the 19-year-old was sidelined by a knee ligament injury and spent almost two months without basketball.

The young Zalgiris guard started working out with the Zalgiris-2 team and is waiting for the green light for on-court minutes. Just as last season, Rubstavicius will have a double license and will play both in the NKL and Betsafe-LKL.

He will also be eagerly waiting for his shot in the EuroLeague, as the club has decided to register the talented guard for the international competition as well. Rubstavicius made his EuroLeague debut last season, scoring two points in a pair of minutes against Panathinaikos.

He also set foot on the floor for eight Betsafe-LKL games last season, averaging 8 minutes and almost 3 points. Meanwhile, in the second Lithuanian basketball tier, he was one of the key players for Zalgiris-2, averaging 11.7 points and 3.0 rebounds per game.
