The Lithuanian Basketball League regular season is approaching its conclusion, with just five games remaining before the start of the most important battles of the year.
At the moment, two of the four quarterfinal matchups are already set: Zalgiris Kaunas (1) will face Jonava Hipocredit (8), while Rytas Vilnius (2) will take on Juventus Utena (7).
Lietkabelis Panevezys (5) and Gargzdai (6), whose positions are already determined, are waiting for their opponents.
Neptunas Klaipeda will secure third place if they defeat Jonava Hipocredit in the final round or if Siauliai lose to Lietkabelis. Otherwise, they would swap positions with Siauliai, who currently sit in fourth place.
The playoffs will begin next Wednesday (May 20). With less than a week remaining, the full schedule for the decisive battles has also been confirmed.
The quarterfinal series will be played as best-of-three. On May 20, Zalgiris will face Jonava Hipocredit, while Lietkabelis will meet either Siauliai or Neptunas in their opening games.
On May 21, the series between Rytas and Juventus will begin, along with the matchup between Gargzdai and either Neptunas or Siauliai.
