On Sunday evening, Zalgiris Kaunas delighted their fans with an impressive performance, defeating Vilnius Rytas, 98-81.

The most efficient player for the Kaunas team was Moses Wright, who scored 16 points in 18 minutes, collected 24 efficiency points, and did not miss a single shot (6/6 two‑pointers, 4/4 free throws).

Zalgiris opened the game with a dominant 19-4 run, winning the first quarter 35-9 – the largest margin in a single quarter in the entire history of Zalgiris vs. Rytas matchups.

“The starting five chosen for this game set a great tone. When I came in, the opponents had only 4 points. We played physically and continued what the starters began. We attacked the paint and forced fouls,” Wright said.

The dunk‑specialist big man also reacted to teammate Sylvain Francisco’s soaring dunk early in the fourth quarter.

“Since the defender jumped a bit, I’ll give Sylvain a solid eight out of ten. He’s not tall, so it was impressive,” Wright joked, holding back from awarding a perfect score.
