Zalgiris Kaunas will face off against the Virtus Bologna on the road this Tuesday. Before the Kaunas team’s trip to Italy, Moses Wright shared his thoughts on the upcoming match, assessed the first half of Zalgiris’ season, and recalled Sylvain Francisco’s dunk.
“There are many strong opponents in the EuroLeague, so we have to come to every game prepared both mentally and physically. I would rate the first part of the season 7 out of 10,” Wright replied briefly and confidently.
The Zalgiris player was also happy for Francisco, who dunked from above in Sunday’s game against Neptunas.
“Was that a dunk? Actually, I’m glad Cisco showed off his athleticism. He demonstrated it in the first half of the season by blocking shots, but we always joked that if he ran a fast break, he would dunk the ball. I think he got his energy from the bench, the fans, and ultimately made a successful attempt,” Wright jokingly praised his teammate.
In the last three games, Wright has averaged 18 points and 21 efficiency points, but the center himself revealed that he is not too interested in personal statistics.
“I didn’t even know I was scoring that many points. I feel confident, and now we’re facing the challenge of Virtus Bologna. I wonder if Carsen Edwards will play, I wonder how he’s doing. Of course, the second half of the season will be intriguing, we have a good chance of making the playoffs, so we have to play as a team and make our fans happy,” said Wright.
The game between Zalgiris Kaunas and Virtus Bologna will start on Tuesday at 9:30 p.m. Lithuanian time.
