Zalgiris Kaunas managed to overcome a double-digit deficit, but ultimately fell short against Virtus Bologna, 79-83. After the loss, Nigel Williams-Goss, who scored 17 points and had 25 efficiency points, shared his thoughts.
“We made too many psychological and concentration mistakes, and we didn’t win fifty-fifty rebounds. We lost our concentration on both sides of the court – this loss is very painful,” said the guard.
“Both Azuolas Tubelis and Moses Wright played amazing games. When we were struggling, they pushed us forward. That’s what we need – we need more guys. This team needs everyone to contribute. I think that’s the only way we can play our best game, so we have to find ways to get more teammates involved so we have more weapons,” replied the Zalgiris player.
On Friday, Zalgiris will face Crvena Zvezda Belgrade at Zalgirio Arena, and the American emphasized the most important aspects of the game.
“We have to play with concentration and give our all for the entire 40 minutes. Without one of these things, the other will not happen. You can’t just play physically without being focused. The same goes for the opposite case. We have to do these things for all 40 minutes and win at home,” Williams-Goss emphasized.
