Zalgiris Kaunas player Sylvain Francisco was named the EuroLeague’s MVP for Round 29.
This is the second consecutive round in which a Zalgiris player has received the MVP award. In the previous round, Moses Wright played the game of his career and also earned this recognition.
Francisco spent almost 43 minutes on the court in the 29th round game against Olympiacos Piraeus, scoring 23 points, making 7 assists, and recording 36 efficiency points. What’s more, the Frenchman sank a crucial three-pointer that put Zalgiris ahead in the second overtime, and made 4 out of 8 three-pointers in total.
This performance by the Zalgiris player is his second most valuable of the season. Francisco only scored more efficiency points in the game against Real Madrid, where he scored 33 points, made 11 assists, and recorded 37 efficiency points.
Francisco has already won the MVP award for this season after the game against Virtus Bologna, when he tallied 35 efficiency points. However, on that occasion, he was named MVP of the 7th round together with Chima Moneke.
