Zalgiris Kaunas will travel to Greece on Wednesday ahead of their EuroLeague Round 31 matchup against Panathinaikos Athens on Thursday.

During the pre‑trip press conference, Zalgiris head coach Tomas Masiulis revealed that 13 main‑roster players will travel, including Azuolas Tubelis and Laurynas Birutis. The coaching staff will decide on their availability right before tip‑off.

Several Zalgiris players missed last Sunday’s game against Jonava Hipocredit, but both Tubelis – who suffered an injury last Thursday in Valencia – and Birutis, who sat out due to knee pain, participated in Tuesday’s practice session.

The team will hold one more practice today before beginning their trip to Athens.

“We’re heading into a hot atmosphere. Panathinaikos added one of the best power forwards in the EuroLeague – Nigel Hayes‑Davis. They still need time to build chemistry, but it’s an incredible boost for them. For us, it’s important to play our basketball, stay focused, and not allow them easy points,” Masiulis said.

The game between Zalgiris Kaunas and Panathinaikos Athens will begin on Thursday at 22:00 Lithuanian time.
