Tyrone Wallace, who joined Zalgiris Kaunas over the summer, is leaving Lithuania for personal reasons. His contract is being terminated by mutual consent.

The 30-year-old was plagued by an injury during the pre-season and is now returning to the USA for personal reasons.

“We had an important role for Tyrone in the line-up, so it’s very unfortunate to have to say goodbye. The player decided to leave for personal reasons. We have to accept it and return to the player market,” said Zalgiris GM Gediminas Navickas.

In the Lithuanian Basketball League, the American averaged 12.7 points, 2 assists and 12 efficiency points.

In the EuroLeague, Wallace had 2 games with an average of 4 points.

Zalgiris Kaunas is actively looking for a new addition to the team in response to Wallace’s departure.
