Zalgiris Kaunas, together with basketball news outlet BasketNews, has launched a joint initiative aimed to support Ukraine. Until May 11, the basketball community, fans, and all those who care are invited to unite around a common goal – raising €100,000 in support of Ukraine.

In recent years, Zalgirio Arena has consistently been a place where solidarity with Ukraine is expressed both in the stands and through club-led initiatives. This campaign seeks to turn that support into tangible help by encouraging donations through transparent and trusted channels.

Throughout April and May, fans are invited to donate by calling 1499 (donation amount: €10). Those wishing to contribute a larger amount can do so via bank transfer to the charity Blue / Yellow, indicating BASKETBALL as the payment purpose.

Zalgiris has continuously supported Ukraine since the beginning of the full-scale war, and this campaign marks another step in mobilizing the basketball community for a meaningful cause. BasketNews will also actively promote the initiative, encouraging its audience to donate and spread the message of unity and responsibility.

This initiative is a call to action – every euro, every message, and every share helps turn solidarity into real support where it is needed most.
