Zalgiris arrived at the Gloria Sports Complex in Antalya, and already had their first training session there on Tuesday. Zalgiris players, who will train in Turkey for a week, will also play three friendly games, which will be broadcast live on Žalgiris Insider.

After the first training session, Arnas Butkevicius shared his thoughts with Zalgiris TV about the work already done in the preparation cycle and the training camp in Turkey.

“I feel very good. Even though yesterday was a trip, I feel rested, we arrived early enough. A few hours before going to bed. We ate dinner, unpacked, had a good night’s sleep. Now we have a morning training session”, said the Zalgiris player.

Butkevicius has already trained with Zalgiris in another training camp abroad, which was organized in Cyprus last year. When he first arrived at the Gloria Sports Complex, he was impressed with the training facilities.

“First of all, we change the environment. We get away from the routine and the everyday images. It’s fun to spend more time with the team. Especially with the newcomers. Getting to know them better. If last year we were in Cyprus, where the conditions were not so good, here everything seems to be perfect for the sport. The hotel has everything in one place. I haven't even had a chance to visit the whole place yet, but from what I hear there are cold baths, swimming pools and saunas - the highest level,” said Butkevicius.

Zalgiris will play three pre-season matches in Turkey. Zalgiris will face Bursa Tofaş on 11 September at 19:00, ALBA Berlin on 13 September at 19:00 and Anadolu Efes Istanbul on 15 September at 17:30.
