Zalgiris Kaunas concluded their 2025-26 EuroLeague season with a loss in Game 4 of the quarterfinal series. Tomas Masiulis’ team fell to Fenerbahce Istanbul 90-94 after overtime (20-25, 22-22, 20-14, 18-19, 10-14), losing the series 1-3.
Fenerbahce opened the game strong, scoring the first seven points before Zalgiris got on the board. Nigel Williams‑Goss and Arnas Butkevicius helped settle the home side, while Sylvain Francisco and Azuolas Tubelis added scoring, 12-13. Dustin Sleva and Maodo Lo contributed offensively as Zalgiris stayed within striking distance. The quarter ended with a late push from Edgaras Ulanovas, but the hosts still trailed 20-25.
Zalgiris started the second quarter aggressively, cutting the gap to a single possession with three-pointers from Lo and Sleva, 26-27. Deividas Sirvydis and Williams‑Goss kept the pressure on, while Francisco and Butkevicius added points from both the field and the line. The teams traded baskets throughout the quarter, with neither side able to pull away. A late inside effort by Ulanovas and Moses Wright kept Zalgiris close, trailing 42-47 at halftime.
Zalgiris came out strong after the break, led by Tubelis and Francisco, who fueled an 8-0 run to take the lead, 54-50. Tubelis contributed with both perimeter shooting and free throws, while Francisco continued to score from long range. The momentum swung multiple times as both teams traded baskets and regained slight advantages. By the end of the quarter, Zalgiris held a narrow 62-61 lead.
Zalgiris built a small cushion early in the fourth quarter through Ulanovas, Wright, and Francisco, 68-63. The home team extended the lead to five points and looked in control entering the final minutes, 74-69. However, Fenerbahce responded with a late rally, eventually tying the game in the closing seconds. Two missed attempts by Zalgiris in the final possession sent the game into overtime tied at 80-80.
Moses Wright opened overtime with a dunk, but Fenerbahce quickly responded with an 8-0 run to take control. Francisco and Ulanovas tried to keep Zalgiris in the game with crucial three-pointers and free throws, cutting the deficit late, 90-92. Despite closing the gap, Zalgiris could not convert their final possessions. The visitors secured a 90-94 win, ending Zalgiris’ playoff run.
Francisco led the home team on 23 points and 11 assists. Tubelis had another big night on 16 and 5 boards. Edgaras Ulanovas scored 15 and Dustin Sleva netted 11.
