Zalgiris Kaunas (21-15) saw a strong three‑quarter performance undone by a difficult final period, falling 65-77 to Dubai Basketball (19-17) at a sold‑out Zalgirio Arena on Tuesday night.

Zalgiris opened the game with early baskets from Azuolas Tubelis, but Dubai responded with a quick run before the hosts answered back. Points inside from Dustin Sleva and Moses Wright, along with three‑pointers by Arnas Butkevicius and Dovydas Giedraitis, helped Zalgiris regain control. Maodo Lo added energy off the bench, and the home team closed the first quarter ahead, 19-14.

The second period began slowly on offense, but Wright sparked another scoring stretch, supported by a Butkevicius three and strong interior play from Tubelis. Zalgiris pushed the lead into double digits and went into halftime holding a 34-24 advantage, having limited Dubai’s scoring for most of the half.

Zalgiris continued to control the game after the break, with Sylvain Francisco scoring his first points and Wright and Tubelis extending the margin to its largest at 45-32. Sleva and Ignas Brazdeikis contributed inside, while Butkevicius beat the third‑quarter buzzer with a three to make it 53-39.

Early in the fourth quarter, Edgaras Ulanovas’ three stretched the lead to 15 points, but momentum quickly shifted. Dubai gradually chipped away, and despite timely baskets from Tubelis, Butkevicius, and a Wright dunk midway through the period, the visitors surged ahead late. Zalgiris struggled offensively in the final minutes, and lost the game 65-77.

Wright led Zalgiris with 15 points, while Butkevicius added 12. Francisco was limited to 5 points, and Nigel Williams‑Goss scored 1.

For Dubai, Aleksa Avramovic scored 15 points, including 12 in the final quarter, while Bruno Caboclo added 13 as the visitors completed the comeback.
