Zalgiris Kaunas players held their last practice session before kicking off the Betsafe-LKL season, and they were welcomed by a thunderous fan support before their first game.
The Green White Boys’ songs and chants greeted the team in the Zalgirio Arena’s practice facility as players headed into practice.
The fan representatives also gave Zalgiris members motivational speech, wishing them to never give up and to be united.
“Support, especially from this group of people, is very important for us. I have been in contact with the leaders of the fan community for years. We find a lot of common ground, we share ideas and advice. So to get that feedback and exchange ideas is really great. I am happy that we have a perfect cooperation with the fans,” said Zalgiris captain Edgaras Ulanovas.
On Sunday, both Zalgiris players and fans will travel to Siauliai, where the Betsafe-LKL game will start at 16:50.
