Zalgiris Kaunas advanced to the Lithuanian Basketball League finals. Coached by Tomas Masiulis, Zalgiris defeated Lietkabelis Panevezys for the third time, 103-93 (29-27, 27-20, 19-21, 28-25), completing a 3-0 sweep in the series.
Zalgiris started strong, with Nigel Williams‑Goss and Moses Wright scoring four points each, while Wright added a three-pointer off a pass from the point guard, 11-7. Azuolas Tubelis and Wright extended the lead, but Lietkabelis quickly responded to level the score, 17-17. Dovydas Giedraitis hit from beyond the arc, while Tubelis and Dustin Sleva added inside points. Giedraitis closed the first quarter with five more points, giving Zalgiris a 29-27 lead.
Early in the second quarter, Giedraitis added free throws, while Tubelis and Deividas Sirvydis scored four points each to put Zalgiris in front, 39-31. Wright contributed with a hook shot and a powerful dunk, while Williams‑Goss added a three-pointer. Sleva and Tubelis kept the offense flowing, and Sylvain Francisco finished the half with six consecutive points to give Zalgiris a 56-47 advantage.
Wright opened the third quarter with a basket, but Lietkabelis cut the deficit to three points, 58-55. Zalgiris responded with a 10-0 run, highlighted by Wright and a three-pointer from Edgaras Ulanovas, 68-55. After Lietkabelis trimmed the margin again, Ulanovas scored in the post and Maodo Lo added five points to keep Zalgiris ahead at 75-68.
In the fourth quarter, Ulanovas, Tubelis, and Wright continued scoring to maintain control, though Lietkabelis briefly reduced the gap again, 82-79. Tubelis, Sleva, and Francisco responded to restore a comfortable lead. Tubelis and Wright added key baskets, Francisco scored Zalgiris’ 100th point, and Ulanovas sealed the game with a three-pointer for a 103-93 victory, sending Zalgiris to the LKL Finals.
Wright scored 25 points in the win, while Tubelis added 20 points.
